The 4 Soles has been the family home since before 1800, a house built by the great great grandfather who was a renowned mason. After he passed away, he left his tools to his son in Ourense, which was so far away at the time that the great grandfather never made it to retrieve them. He was the blacksmith who made the suns on the balcony, the balusters of the staircase, and many other delicate pieces around the area. The restoration was mainly carried out by artists of different nationalities who came to the place and offered their skill and will to create a beautiful, welcoming, and familiar environment for our guests. Now, the 4 Soles house is completely renovated and conveniently located on a quiet pedestrian street in the historic center of Ponte-Caldelas, next to the natural beauty of the Verdugo River. It preserves its own architectural elements and uses natural materials such as wood and stone, perfectly harmonized with the high technology that our current life requires.
